Social Theory, Politics and the Arts is in a critical time of its development. Over the last two years, the organization has evolved from an independent conference to an institution dedicated to progressing research and understanding in the field of arts and culture.
As the next step in the development, STP&A will seek nonprofit status under the guidance and leadership of a newly formed board of directors.
The Board of Directors will oversee the governance of STP&A, set the strategic direction for the organization, provide financial oversight, and serve as an ambassador for STP&A and its mission.
The Board of Directors will also work in collaboration with the Scientific Committee in order to set direction on conference development including suggestions for themes, locations, and keynote events.
In order to apply, please complete the nomination form by October 5, 2018. The first meeting of the founding Board of Directors will be held at the 2018 STP&A Conference in Manchester. However, if you are unable to attend the conference, it does not preclude you from submitting your nomination.
We look forward to developing the future of STP&A with our committed members and attendees.
