Symposium: The Past, Present and Future, Women’s Perspectives in Arts Administration

University of Kentucky’s Department of Arts Administration will celebrate the contributions of women scholars in the interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary field of arts administration by bringing together an intergenerational group of women-identifying scholars, from undergraduate students to emeritus professors into a one-day symposium themed around the past, present, and future of women’s perspectives in arts administration scholarship. The symposium will take place as an adjoining day of activities, commencing the day before the Social Theory, Politics & the Arts Conference.

Registration is required but the symposium is free for all attendees.

Bourbon Distillery Tour

Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. celebrates timeless traditions and bold imaginations. The tour features award-winning beers and spirits. The family-owned brewery and distillery are shaped by a heritage that includes seven generations of Irish distillers, brewers, and coopers.

See where Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale and Town Branch Bourbon are made and sample the products along the way. Each guest (21 yrs. & older) receives 4 tasting tokens to trade for samples in the brewery and/or distillery.

This optional activity is a quintessential Kentucky experience! 

The tour is limited to the first 60 reservations!

The STP&A Opening Reception and Conference Dinner are included in the registration fee. RSVP is required. Additional guest tickets can also be purchased for the cost below.

Did you know?

The Social Theory, Politics, and the Arts Conference is 100% volunteer organized and operates at cost. Thus, the registration fees simply cover the expenses of operating a conference. Even the volunteers pay the full rate for the conference! Therefore, we must ask everyone who participates to register for the conference.
